Who we are

This policy is provided to you by Pivigo Limited (“Pivigo”) and describes who we are, why we need to collect your information and how we will use it. It will also tell you who we share your information with and how we use data to improve the service we provide to you.

Pivigoi s aware of the trust you place in us when you visit our website or utilise our services, and of our responsibility to protect your information.

“We”, “Us” or “Our” in this policy refers to Pivigo Limited a company registered in the United Kingdom with company number08645601, whose registered office is Dead Earnest Theatre Electric Works, 3Concourse Way, Sheffield, England, S1 2BJ and is a data controller (data protection registration number ZA209733), who processes your personal data as necessary to deliver our services to you.

Any reference to ‘you’, ‘your’, ‘yours’ or ‘yourself’ in this policy is a reference to any of our clients, potential clients or people visiting our websites as the context requires unless otherwise stated. 

What personal information do we collect

Pivigo is a data science hub. We help organisations to innovate by connecting them with Pivigo’s community of data scientists.

Aspart of providing our services to you, we will collect personal data about you to verify your identity before we set you up as a client and we use those details to effectively manage our relationship with you to ensure that you get the best possible service.

If you are an actual or potential client, we may collect the following types of information about you depending on your stage in the customer journey:

  • identity data including title, first name, last name, account name or similar identifier;

  • contact data including billing address, registered address, email address and telephone number;

  • technical data including application software, internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access our websites or applications;

  • profile data including your username and password, performance data, transaction data, notes, preferences, feedback, survey responses;

  • usage data including information about how you use our website, and services; and

  • marketing and communications data including your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

We obtain this information in a number of ways through your use of our services or other dealings with us including through our websites, account opening applications, contact forms, telephone, instant systems, seminar/webinar signup forms and information provided in the course of ongoing client service correspondence. We may also collect information about you from third parties either through lead generation providers, credit reference agencies, publicly available sources or screened third party data lists.

We may keep records of your preferences and activities, including a record of:

  • the services you utilise and its performance

  • historical and/or statistical data about your activities.

We will use your Personal Information to provide you services, or information about our services, and continuously review your ongoing needs once you open an account with us or subscribe to information resources on our sites or applications (e.g. blogs, newsletters etc.).

We also collect, use and share statistical or demographic data for many purposes(“Aggregated Data”). Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your usage data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature.Where we combine or connect Aggregated Data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with the law and this privacy policy.

We use cookies, which are small pieces of text stored on your computer or device when you visit our websites or use our apps. Promotional communications

We may use your personal information to send you updates (by email, telephone or post) about our services, including exclusive offers, promotions or new services.

Where consent is needed for promotional purposes, we will ask for this consent separately and clearly, however, in some cases we may not require your consent because we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal information(see above ‘How and why we use your personal information’).

We will always treat your personal information with the utmost respect and never sell or share it with other organisations for marketing purposes. Who we share your personal information with

Aspart of using your Personal Information for the purposes set out above, we may disclose your information to:

  • third party service providers we use to help deliver our services to you, such as specialist advisers, administrative support, IT, financial, compliance, insurance, research etc.;

We may also need to share some personal information with other parties, such as potential buyers of some or all of our business or during a re-structuring.Usually, information will be anonymised, but this may not always be possible.The recipient of any such information will be bound by the same data privacy, confidentiality and security obligations.

Please note that the use of your Personal Information by external third parties who act as data controllers of your Personal Information is not covered by this policy and is not subject to our privacy standards and procedures.

Management of personal information

Information may be held at our offices and those of third party agencies, service providers, representatives and agents as described above (see above: ‘Who we share your personal information with’).

To deliver our service to you, it is sometimes necessary for us to transfer your personal information overseas, such as:

Where we need to collect personal data by law, under the terms of a contract we have with you or are trying to enter into with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or in limited circumstances may only be able to provide a restricted service. In most cases, we may have to cancel the service you have with us, but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

Please note that we reserve the right to charge the administrative cost of providing you with the requested information in situations where your request is excessive or unfounded, for instance where your request is repetitive, or you require multiple copies.

In situations where we have shared your personal information with third parties, we will inform them of your request to ensure that your data privacy rights are upheld by them.

Keeping your personal information secure

Safeguarding your personal information is important to us, whether you interact with us personally, telephone, e-mail, post, over the internet or by any other electronic medium.
